"Kinematika" Polyclinic for Orthopedics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is a healthcare institution dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of foot diseases and injuries, as well as gait disorders in children, adults, diabetics, rheumatics, recreational athletes, and professional athletes.
Kinematika Polyclinic is located at Laginjina 16 (DZ Centar) in Zagreb. It began operations on November 3, 1997. Since its founding, the Polyclinic has been staffed by Maja Mirković, MD, a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation with specialized training in podology.
The founders of the institution are leading experts in the fields of orthopedics, traumatology, and sports medicine: Professor Marko Pećina, MD, PhD; Professor Gojko Buljat, MD, PhD; Zvonko Kejla, MD, and others.
For computerized analysis and diagnosis of foot deformities and gait disorders, we use electronic pressure measurement beneath the feet during walking, using a specialized platform. In certain cases – for patients with limited mobility or coordination difficulties – the measurement can also be performed statically.
After a clinical examination and computerized gait analysis, the digital footprint is transferred to a CAD (Computer‑Aided Design) program for designing custom orthotic insoles. The insoles are then manufactured with high precision using robotic technology (CAM – Computer‑Aided Machine).
Each orthotic insole is individually shaped – not only for each patient, but for each foot separately – based on the physician’s assessment following the clinical examination. The insoles are made from a wide range of specialized materials, depending on the indication: the purpose of the insoles, age, body weight, diagnosis, and the type of footwear to be used.
For wearing orthotic insoles, deeper and more comfortable footwear is recommended. We also offer specialized footwear designed for use with orthotic insoles – including slippers, sandals, and shoes from which the existing factory insole is removed and replaced with the orthotic one.
